It’s been quite the year for Drake and Nike’s NOCTA label, with the subsidiary continuing to release hyped sneaker silhouettes and elevated clothing collections. Back once again with a fresh unveiling just before 2023 is over and out, the brand presents us with official images of the NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive in “Black/White”. The scarcely-seen silhouette used here was first released back in 2000, offering a futuristic take on a running sneaker that’s not too dissimilar from the Air Max Deluxe. Crafted from various panels consisting of leather, canvas and mesh, the uppers of the kicks are fully decked out in black, with white accents featuring at the laces. Key details consist of Nike Swoosh logos, NOCTA signature branding at the heel tabs and elongated tongue tabs, plus a reinforced toe box to add a touch of aggression to the design language.
Underfoot, a black and white chunky midsole offers plenty of cushioning, including a visible Air Zoom unit under the heels. The looks is completed with reflective details throughout and NOCTA’s signature three-pronged logo on the outsole. As it stands currently, there’s no set release date for the pair, although we can expect to see them arrive at retailers in the coming months.
