How do sacai x Nike Sneakers Fit?

Published: by Jack Aldrich

First joining forces way back in 2015, sacai and Nike have held a long and fruitful partnership that has led to some incredibly-popular sneaker releases. Chitose Abe’s legendary brand first worked with the Swoosh as part of a limited-edition NikeLab release that consisted of the Air Max 90 and the Dunk High, however the duo first shared the limelight when the LDWaffle silhouette was previewed at Paris Fashion Week in 2019. Since then, we’ve seen plenty more hyped sacai x Nike releases, as well as three-way collaborations with the likes of fragment Design and Jean Paul Gaultier.

But just how do sacai x Nike collaborations fit? The rare collaborative sneakers are not often seen in stores, meaning many footwear fans have been left confused regarding which size to buy. Here at Crepslocker we’re ready to answer the question once and for all, putting to bed any uncertainties regarding sizing. So without further ado, let’s jump straight into it!

sacai x Nike LDWaffleHow Does the sacai x Nike LDWaffle Fit?

Arguably the most popular collaborative silhouette to come from the sacai x Nike partnership, the LDWaffle is a hybrid silhouette that takes parts from both the Nike LDV and the Nike Waffle, with the process inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, mending shattered ceramics using gold seams. The kicks originally launched in two vibrant colourways and have since been seen in a number of different arrangements, with the sneakers still remaining popular today.

The LDWaffle is a slimline silhouette to look at, however the good news is that it fits true to size. You can safely take your regular size in this pair for a comfortable fit. The exception here will be if you have wide feet, in which case we’d recommend taking half a size up to ensure optimal comfort.

First seen in 2020, the Nike VaporWaffle builds upon the design language first seen on the LDWaffle, offering up another dual-stacked sneaker. However this time around the kicks take things to a new extreme, showcasing a bulky look that’s guaranteed to stand out from the crowd. We’ve seen a plethora of colourways launched since the inception of the silhouette, and even a high-top version that launched as part of a three-way collaborative capsule involving Jean Paul Gaultier.

If you’re shopping for a fresh pair of kicks and have decided on the VaporWaffle for your next pickup, you’ll be delighted to hear that the silhouette also fits true to size. If you own other Nikes you can be safe to assume that the same size you have in those will work perfectly for the VaporWaffles. Of course, if you can, we’d always recommend trying a pair in store just to be safe, although we know that this isn’t always possible.

sacai x Nike BlazerHow Does the sacai x Nike Blazer Fit?

Last but by no means least, the sacai x Nike Blazer launched alongside the LDWaffles in 2019, and we’ve since seen additional colourways launch in both high and low-top variations. Playing on the original Blazer design, sacai’s variation blends in signature details from Chitose Abe’s label, such as the double Swoosh logos, overlapped laces and layered sole units.

Generally speaking, the Nike Blazer (including the sacai version in question) fits true to size. If you’re considering picking up a pair of these sneakers then take your regular size unless you have particularly wide feet, in which case we’d advise going for a half size up. If you follow these rules, you should be able to cop your new kicks safely in the knowledge that they’ll fit well!
