The Nike Air Max 1 '86 Is Launching In "Royal Blue" for Air Max Day

Published: by Jack Aldrich

Ahead of this month’s Air Max Day celebrations, Nike has previewed a brand-new take on the classic “Royal Blue” version of the Air Max 1. This time around, the colourway appears on the refreshed Air Max 1 ‘86 silhouette, which draws influence from the early variants of the silhouette. Featuring the iconic “big bubble” midsole unit, the kicks are decked out in hits of white, grey and blue for a pleasant combination, while branding comes in the form of Swoosh logos on either side. The uppers are crafted from supple nubuck, while mesh panels switch up the look and keep things comfortable. Classic Air Max branding is embroidered onto the heels and tongue tabs.

Underfoot, the white midsole encases the aforementioned Air Max bubble, while black and blue hits are located on the outsole. Coming complete in a period-correct Air Max 1 box, the kicks are set to hit stores on Air Max Day, the 26th of March. Are you looking to add this hyped pair to your sneaker collection?
